Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Escrowixa you agree to these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the service.

2. What the service does

Escrowixa is a neutral stakeholder. When a buyer funds an escrow, the money leaves their wallet but is not paid to the seller. We hold it until the buyer approves the delivery, the automatic release window elapses, or a dispute is resolved.

We are not a party to the underlying agreement between buyer and seller. We do not inspect goods, guarantee quality, or take responsibility for the performance of either party beyond administering the escrow.

3. The escrow agreement

• The buyer funds the escrow before any obligation to deliver arises.
• The seller must deliver what was described in the escrow terms.
• Funds are released when the buyer approves, or automatically after the review window (currently 7 days) if the buyer takes no action and no dispute is open.
• Either party may open a dispute while funds are still held. Opening a dispute freezes the funds until we decide.
• A buyer may cancel an escrow before the seller delivers; the full amount returns to their wallet.

4. Fees

The platform fee is 2.5% of the escrow amount, subject to a minimum and maximum shown before you create the transaction. Whoever pays the fee — buyer, seller, or both — is chosen when the escrow is created and cannot be changed afterwards.

Deposit and withdrawal fees depend on the payment method you choose and are displayed before you confirm.

Fees are earned when a transaction completes. If an escrow is fully refunded, the platform fee is returned with it.

5. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and two-factor device secure.
• You must be legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.
• One person or business may hold one account unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• We may suspend an account that shows signs of fraud, abuse, or breach of these terms.

6. Prohibited transactions

You may not use the service for anything illegal, or for goods and services that are illegal to sell where either party is located.

• Weapons, controlled substances or stolen property.
• Counterfeit or infringing goods.
• Money transmission, currency exchange or any attempt to launder funds.
• Transactions designed to evade sanctions or tax obligations.
• Adult services, gambling, or anything prohibited by our payment partners.

7. Disputes

When a dispute is opened, both parties are asked to submit evidence within the response window. Our team reviews what was agreed in the escrow description and terms against what was actually delivered.

We may decide to refund the buyer in full, release to the seller in full, or split the funds. Our decision is final for the purpose of releasing the escrowed funds; it does not prevent either party from pursuing other legal remedies between themselves.

8. Deposits and withdrawals

Deposits are credited after our team verifies the payment proof you upload. Withdrawals are reserved from your balance when requested and paid after approval.

If a deposit cannot be verified, or the details you provide for a withdrawal are wrong, funds may be delayed or returned. We are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect payment details you supply.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Escrowixa is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of business arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to a transaction is limited to the fee we charged on that transaction.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time, provided no escrow is holding your funds and no dispute is open.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where we do, any funds legitimately owed to you remain payable subject to our compliance obligations.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
